About the role
The post holder is responsible for managing the customer facing team at the Student Centre, including staffing the help points, answering enquiries and providing assistance with facilities and services. They will provide staff training, monitor performance and carry out staff appraisals as required.
This is an internal secondment role, available to current UCL staff only. This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday; 1:00pm - 9:00pm), the salary including London Allowance is £33, per annum.
This is a fixed-term role until 31/10/ in the first instance
This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
About you
We are looking for candidates who in particular have the following experience and skills:
1. Experience of supervising front-line services in a busy library or customer focused environment
2. Experience of delivering training to staff, including undertaking formal appraisals
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and accurately, using tact and diplomacy to handle difficult situations effectively.
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage a varied workload, meet deadlines and work accurately with attention to detail
