An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to lead the UK operations of a well-established and expanding group in the industrial pump sector. This is a strategic, senior-level role ideal for a hands-on leader with both technical depth and commercial acumen.
🔧 The Role
This role offers a unique blend of operational leadership, technical expertise, and strategic development, overseeing service delivery. You’ll lead a national service and support team, manage customer lifecycle activities—from specification and installation through to service and aftersales—and play a key role in scaling service operations in line with growth.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement the group’s service strategy across multiple brands and locations.
* Manage field engineers, workshop technicians, and support teams to deliver world-class service.
* Drive continuous improvement in installation, commissioning, and aftersales support.
* Support commercial teams with technical insight on tenders, quotations, and client proposals.
* Foster high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service delivery and efficient resolution of issues.
* Oversee accreditations (ISO 9001, 14001, H&S) and maintain compliance across operations.
* Lead workforce planning, including recruitment, training, and succession management.
✅ About You
* Proven track record in a senior service, technical, or operations role, ideally in the pump, rotating equipment, or water sectors.
* Strong working knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, and industrial pump systems.
* Comfortable working in multi-site, cross-functional environments with matrix teams.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with a hands-on approach to coaching and team development.
* Commercially minded with a clear understanding of service lifecycle and contract delivery.
* Qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering preferred.
