We're Hiring: Junior Technical Security Analyst
Hybrid – Leeds or Manchester
Join the Cox Automotive Europe Information Security Team
Ready to kickstart your cybersecurity career in a role where you'll learn fast, make an impact, and work with modern security technologies?
Whether you're a
recent graduate
, have just completed a
technical or security apprenticeship
, or you're working in a
service desk or similar tech role and want to break into cybersecurity
— we'd love to hear from you.
This is your opportunity to join a team that protects the platforms powering some of the biggest brands in the automotive industry.
Why this role is a great next step
As a
Junior Technical Security Analyst
, you'll support a wide range of hands-on security activities — from analysing vulnerabilities to rolling out modern security tooling. You'll work with cloud, networks, applications and security platforms across the UK, Europe and alongside global teams in the US.
You'll learn from experienced security professionals while playing a real part in strengthening our products, platforms and services.
What you'll be doing
You'll get involved in:
* Supporting the implementation of key security tooling (EDR, CSPM, vulnerability management, app security testing).
* Reviewing alerts, findings and intelligence to help identify vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.
* Helping co‑ordinate penetration testing — from planning and scoping through to reviewing results.
* Recording vulnerabilities and making sure they're routed to the right teams for remediation.
* Assisting with incident response, threat discovery and improving the use of our security tools.
* Creating or updating operational security documentation like guides, reports and process docs.
* Working with engineering, product and platform teams across the UK, Europe and the wider global security organisation.
If you're curious, love learning, and want exposure to real security operations — this is it.
Who we'd love to hear from
We're open to a range of backgrounds, including:
Graduates
With degrees in cybersecurity or similar related disciplines.
Apprentices
Who have completed a technical or information security apprenticeship and want to take the next step.
2nd Jobbers
Candidates looking for their next move with an information security background
Technical professionals looking to transition into security
Such as:
* Service Desk Analysts
* Infrastructure/Cloud/Platform Technicians
* Network/Systems Support
* Junior DevOps or Platform Engineers
If you've configured or worked with things like firewalls, email gateways, identity platforms, MFA, patching, access controls, cloud environments or vulnerability tools — even better.
You don't need to be an expert — you just need solid technical foundations, a security mindset, and a willingness to learn.
What you'll bring
(Not all required — we will teach and support your growth)
* Understanding of cloud, networking, authentication, identity and basic security concepts.
* Hands-on experience from studies, labs, previous roles or apprenticeships.
* Curiosity about how attacks happen and how to defend systems.
* A proactive, collaborative mindset.
Desirable but not essential: scripting, familiarity with SAST/DAST, vulnerability tools, cloud security, security frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
About the team
You'll be joining a collaborative, forward-thinking Information Security team that protects our people, customers and data. We partner with global colleagues and work across multiple markets and brands, enabling secure innovation across Europe.
