Manage a diverse caseload including divorce, private children matters, non-molestation orders and financial relief casesHandle files independently, including taking over ongoing casesAttend court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRsDraft legal documentation and communicate effectively with clients and third partiesEnsure full compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations, including Legal Aid Agency (LAA) rules and the Solicitors ActProvide support and supervision to junior colleagues, including file reviews
Person Specification:
Qualified Family Solicitor with a minimum of 1 PQE (or equivalent)Experience handling a broad range of family law matters including children, divorce, financial disputes and domestic abuseFamiliarity with TOLATA cases is beneficialExcellent client care skills and strong drafting abilitiesConfident in legal aid procedures and billing requirementsAble to supervise other fee earners and meet LAA supervisor criteriaCommercial awareness and ability to generate new business is desirable
