Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in Clinical Immunoassays within our Immunology, Bioanalysis & Biomarkers department located at Clear Water House on the Heriot Watt University Campus, Riccarton, Edinburgh. Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This dynamic team of over 80 researchers supports clients in bringing novel treatments to patients, utilizing techniques across Immunology, Immunochemistry, Cell-Based Assays, and Molecular Biology.

As a scientist in our Clinical BioA team, you will perform studies supporting clinical trials for new pharmaceuticals, focusing on regulatory PK and immunogenicity studies using immunoassays. You should demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrument use, method development, validation, and troubleshooting.

You will contribute by managing projects, participating in process improvements, and communicating effectively with colleagues and clients. You will also help diversify our capabilities, collaborate globally, and develop staff scientifically and technically. Occasional travel to meet sponsors and attend conferences may be required.

Minimum requirements include:

* PhD with relevant experience or MSc/BSc with strong industry experience
* Deep understanding of immunoassays
* Knowledge of preclinical and clinical drug development phases
* Desirable: understanding of large molecule PK and immunogenicity assays
* Excellent team, organizational, project management, and communication skills

Salary: £33,272 per annum.
