Responsibilities
1. Ensure all Quality Control (QC) and vehicle documentation are updated, accurate, and completed daily by site personnel.
2. Identify and address shortfalls in operational routine tasks; implement corrective actions as needed.
3. Complete daily i6 reconciliations and ensure accuracy of operational reporting.
4. Coordinate onsite activities including meter proving, LOLER inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
5. Deliver a safe, efficient, and customer‑focused fueling operation in alignment with airport and company standards.
Team Leadership
6. Motivate, coach, and supervise a team of refuellers to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
7. Deliver Toolbox Talks and daily shift briefings.
8. Conduct task observations of technicians and contractors; provide feedback and report non‑compliance to the Station Manager.
9. Monitor On Time Performance (OTP) monthly, investigate causes, and prepare reports.
10. Manage shift patterns, ensuring operational coverage while controlling costs.
11. Oversee annual leave allocation to maintain staffing balance.
Safety, Compliance & Reporting
12. Monitor, investigate, and report incidents; update SIRUS accurately and promptly.
13. Update and maintain the HMP register; ensure all equipment inspections are completed monthly.
14. Attend internal and external audits, airport safety meetings, and regulatory inspections.
15. Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and legal requirements.
Stakeholder & Administrative Support
16. Act as the operational point of contact during the Station Manager’s absence.
17. Arrange vehicle and visitor passes for WFS personnel and authorised external visitors.
18. Support UK Operations Manager with ad hoc tasks and site requirements.
19. Maintain positive working relationships with airport authorities, airline customers, and internal partners.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
20. Experience in airport operations, ground handling, aviation fueling, or a similar safety‑critical environment.
21. Demonstrated experience supervising frontline teams in an operational setting.
22. Strong understanding of safety management systems and quality control processes.
23. Ability to prioritise tasks while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance.
24. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide feedback, lead briefings, and liaise with airport stakeholders.
25. Competent using operational systems and completing accurate documentation (i6 experience a plus).
Preferred:
26. Knowledge of into-plane fueling operations.
27. Experience supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
28. NVQ or equivalent qualification in aviation operations, logistics, or supervisory management.
