Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a talented NPD Process & Development Technologist to join a well-established manufacturer in the food industry. The company is a leading ambient product manufacturer with significant growth and major clients across the UK food retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage concepts from approval to factory launch, including trials, feasibility checks, and process documentation. Ensure product data such as reheat and quality standards are accurately recorded and systems updated.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by trialling new materials, equipment, and processes. Contribute to product quality enhancements, HACCP systems, and maintain process documentation.
* Assist in developing early-stage samples, verifying nutritional values, completing NPD paperwork, and supporting co-pack projects. Apply functional ingredients and support kitchen development tasks.
* Collaborate effectively with teams, customers, and management. Maintain professional representation of the company, support communication, and uphold company standards and ethics.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification in Food Science or Technology.
* At least 1 year of experience in an NPD or Process role, including industry placements.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills, with good planning and coordination abilities.
The salary range for this role is £28,000 - £30,000, depending on experience.
The site is near Ashford and accessible from Maidstone, Headcorn, Sittingbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood, and nearby towns.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, standard office hours.
