The Opportunity Reporting to the Site Quality Director, the Training Manager will play a key role in developing the site training strategy leveraging industry best practice. They will drive the implementation of the strategy ensuring an effective and practical training system is in place and well maintained for existing and new employees at the Skipton manufacturing site, ensuring both legal and regulatory compliance. So, w hat will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including: * Develop and own the training strategy that assures that Skipton has demonstrably competent employees * Ensure processes and appropriate governance are implemented to enable departmental owners to assure the following for their teams, as per the training strategy * Assessing their department's training needs and identifying appropriate mechanisms for training * Ensuring that all employees in their department have a suitable training curriculum encompassing both technical and soft skill requirements * Ensuring new starters in their department are suitably trained, demonstrably competent and compliant in the use of equipment, processes and systems as per relevant SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). * Ensuring that all training activities are delivered in line with business needs, on time and within budget * Work with the Training Coordinator to develop a robust system for capturing, tracking and reporting training and competency data to ensure regulatory compliance. * Work with departmental training representatives to ensure consistent application of training processes and adherence to approved training procedures. * Provide guidance on effective training techniques and courses. * Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training, and implement continuous improvement activities * Work with the site leadership team to ensure a consistent approach to training is applied across all functions * Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance/mandatory training is delivered in line with best practice * Ensure all training activities comply and actively promote the company's quality standards, H&S requirements, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care. Significant knowledge of training strategies and implementation Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating training Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools. Degree in related subject.
