Role Summary
We require an enthusiastic and highly client-focused Data & BI Professional to join our growing Digital Services team. Based in the office, near Chelmsford, this role is compensated up to £43k and will be a key addition to our newly established central IT support structure. Your primary mandate will be to champion data-driven decision-making and boost efficiency across the whole organisation. This involves transforming commercial and operations data into actionable intelligence, designing and maintaining executive-level dashboards (specifically within the Power BI environment), automating reporting, and ensuring seamless data integration between systems to elevate our analytics capability.
You'll be instrumental in optimising our data flow architecture, safeguarding the accuracy of core information, and equipping our departmental teams with the resources needed for making informed choices instantly. Working closely with major internal teams managing Commercial Sales, Stock Holdings, Purchasing, and Finance, you will significantly shape how the business consumes data, ensuring vital information is always clear, accurate, and readily available.

Business Focus and Technical Duties
The successful applicant will primarily focus on developing and maintaining Power BI visualisations for key operational and financial metrics (including sales, inventory, and order cycles). This involves complex data modelling and defining unique KPIs tailored to the distribution sector. Experience integrating data from major business systems (like ERP/CRM) and familiarity with supply chain processes (stock planning, order execution) are critical.
