Job Coach – The Role
This role will be primarily based within our County provision, where learners are referred through North Yorkshire County. However, flexibility is key and we would also expect the Job Coach to work across both of our teams in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and provide support to learners on the Craven College Supported Internship programme. For this reason, a driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. This is a unique and rewarding role with plenty of variety — no two days are the same as you will be working across a wide range of host employment and learning settings.
As part of our Supported Internship programmes, you will be joining a dedicated team where the work you do will make a genuine difference. The role offers not only variety and challenge, but also the job satisfaction that comes from supporting learners to build independence, develop their skills, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Working 1:1 with learners as well as in small groups
* Delivering travel training and supporting independence skills
* Providing observations, guidance, and prompts as required
* Liaising closely with employers and training providers
Qualifications & What We Are Looking For
* A range of transferrable skills, including good organisation, self-motivation, and the determination to support people to succeed
* Passionate, committed and aligned with our values about employment opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people
* Flexible and willing to travel across North Yorkshire
* An Enhanced DBS check will be required for each successful candidate (paid for by Right2work, T&Cs apply)
* Full Driving license and use of a vehicle for work
