Job Opportunity: Family Law Solicitor (3+ PQE) – Maternity Cover
Location: North Lanarkshire (Hybrid Options Available)
Overview:
A supportive North Lanarkshire firm is seeking a Family Law Solicitor to cover maternity leave. You’ll handle a mixed caseload of legal aid and private clients within a flexible, collaborative environment that prioritises wellbeing and balance.
Role Requirements:
* Manage family law files, mainly contact and court-based matters
* Conduct your own advocacy and attend hearings
* Work independently with support
* Attend client meetings
* Participate in a smooth handover ahead of the leave period
Experience:
* 3+ years’ PQE in family law
* Comfortable running your own caseload
* Strong court experience, particularly in contact matters
* Exposure to legal aid work beneficial
Skills:
* Clear, confident communicator
* Organised, adaptable and able to work autonomously
* Empathetic approach to sensitive client situations
* Team-oriented mindset
