The successful candidate will ideally be based in our Manchester, Delph or Bristol offices. Providing leadership, direction and guidance to early and mid-career staff Task and project management, including planning work, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability; Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors; Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing; Reviewing and managing written document production; and Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering, geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, or a related field of study (required) Advanced degree in a related field of study. (preferred) Chartered Engineer or Scientist (desirable) At least 8 years (10 preferred) experience of environmental consulting experience, including permitting, due diligence, compliance auditing, site investigation and remediation - or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Demonstrable track record of project delivery with manufacturing sector clients (required) Experience of directing and managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required) Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) Field work and overnight travel may be required. Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. Valid UK driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
