Project Support Specialist - (Supply Chain/Manufacturing) Filton (Hybrid - 60% On Site) 6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 Up to £45 per hour via Umbrella The Opportunity Belcan are currently working with one of the industry leaders across the Aviation field, and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Support Specialist to join their team in Filton, UK, within the SA Family Programme organisation. This role offers the unique opportunity to support the A320 Programme's Multi-Functional Team (MFT) Representative, playing a critical role in ensuring strategic alignment and operational performance across key supply chain perimeters. About the Role The successful candidate will provide dedicated, high-level support to the MFT Rep who represents the A320 programme across the Wing Procurement MFTs (lead edge/Trailing edge aerostructure, Wingbox, Wingtips). You will assist in ensuring that the MFT strategy is strongly aligned with the overarching A320 strategies (including product, industrial, competitiveness, and rate). Key Responsibilities Your main activities will focus on providing dedicated support and coordination for the MFT Representative's core duties: ● Strategy and Projects: ○ Support the definition and implementation of the MFT Strategy, ensuring alignment with the A320 Family strategy. ○ Assist in prioritizing, enabling, and supporting Procurement MFT Projects. ● Supplier Management: ○ Support Call For Tenders and activities to select suppliers, contributing to Make vs Buy decisions. ○ Help manage suppliers concerning RC (Recurring Cost), NRC (Non-Recurring Cost), Claims, performance, and the tracking of Risks and Opportunities. ○ Assist with managing supplier demand, coordinating with the support Procurement Team of a sub-contractor. ● Operational Support & Crisis Resolution: ○ Coordinate support for Tactical Transfers of Work essential for SA Programme Ramp up, dual supply, and de-risking goals. ○ Provide support in leading minor modifications (minor mods) within the MFT perimeter. ○ Assist in leading the resolution of MIP (Major Industrial Problem). ○ Support crisis resolution, including QSRs (Quality Service Requests), that pose a risk to aircraft deliveries and cannot be contained by PIx and OSx. ○ Support Mamos (major modifications) and coordination of transfer to series in the MFT perimeter. Skills and Experience Required ● Experience: ○ Demonstrable solid project management experience within a supply chain or manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace sector. ○ Proven experience working on complex projects that involve coordinating multiple stakeholders (e.g., procurement, supply chain quality, engineering). ○ Experience in aircraft manufacturing is highly desirable. ● Core Competencies: ○ Exceptional problem analysis and solving abilities. ○ Demonstrated crisis management skills. ○ Ability to integrate and manage complex technical topics. ○ Strong business and strategy mindset. ○ Excellent proactive networking and strong communication skills.
