Role responsibilities
The Communications Officer will provide essential support in the development and delivery of a successful and long-term strategic programme of communications to ensure Transport for Wales offers the best in the business communications service for its people, its customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
1. Provide day-to-day communications support to the Media Team by effectively offering the right level of communications support to ensure the delivery for key media projects.
2. Deliver day-to-day social media delivery by writing content and liaising with the Media Relations Manager to ensure that relevant media tasks are actioned to support the delivery of key projects.
3. Be a key ambassador for TfW’s communications approach, making sure communications activity is aligned to our vision and values to ensure TfW has a consistent standard, approach and messaging in its communications across the organisation and its communication channels.
4. Support the delivery of the day-to-day media communications provision by working closely with the Media Team to gather information and share insight and plan activity across the different communication channels.

5. Experience of working in a communications environment.
6. Experience of working on social media campaigns.
7. Experience of project management or project support (. events).
8. Experience of managing successful relationships with stakeholders.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
