Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: £26,500 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Position Summary
Pump Supplies is seeking a dynamic and proactive Office Administrator to join our team at our Bodmin Depot. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our office, including managing communications, scheduling, stock control, and software management. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar administrative role, particularly in plant hire or logistics, and be comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* First Point of Contact: Answer phone calls, manage emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
* Software Management: Use the Inspire system for managing plant equipment, creating purchase orders, and assigning jobs.
* Stock Management: Keep track of inventory levels and place orders as required.
* Scheduling & Planning: Manage work schedules for field staff using the Big Change software, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and fleet.
* General Office Duties: Assist with filing, record‑keeping, and any other administrative tasks to ensure office efficiency.
* Training and Support: Provide on‑the‑job training for new systems, ensuring all team members can use the software effectively.
Essential Requirements
* Strong computer literacy, particularly with equipment hire software.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
* Ability to maintain professionalism and positive relationships with staff and clients.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience with Inspire software or similar plant hire management systems.
* A background in equipment hire, logistics, or a similar sector.
* Ability to handle a fast‑paced work environment and be flexible with changing demands.
* Resilience and a thick‑skinned attitude to manage a busy office in a male‑dominated workplace.

* Ideal candidates should live within a 30‑mile radius of Bodmin, as the role requires regular on‑site presence.
