We are looking to recruit two motivated and professional pharmacytechnicians to join our expanding team at Collingwood Health Group. Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
Document processing - Safe and effective medication processing fromclinical documents, reconciling medications post-discharge and ensuringaccurate clinical records.
Repeat prescriptions -Work alongside pharmacy administrativeteam to ensure the processing and authorisation of repeat prescription requestsfalls in line with practice protocols and clinical guidelines
Medication safety - Identify and resolve medication related issues,ensure compliance with national and local prescribing
Patient Education - Provide advice on medication use, side effectsand adherence to treatment plans
Support Prescribers - work with clinical team to improve prescribingquality and manage high-risk medications
Data and Reporting - Assist with prescribing audits, data collectionand reporting for quality improvement initiatives.

Job responsibilities
The role focuses on supporting medicines management by acting as a liaison between general practice and community pharmacies, resolving or escalating medication-related issues. It involves communicating with patients and healthcare teams, supporting audits and reporting, contributing to policy development, and performing clinical duties under supervision. Tasks include medication reviews, reconciliation post-discharge, checking for interactions, supporting deprescribing, and ensuring adherence to guidelines. The role also includes mentoring junior staff, handling medication incidents, and using systems like SystmOne for data management.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* BTEC in pharmaceutical science or NVQ Level 3 supported by appropriate underpinning knowledge e.g. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, NPA or equivalent qualification, plus specialist training and experience equivalent to degree level (or equivalent level of knowledge and / or experience)
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
Experience
* Experience of working with S1 clinical system
* Previous relevant experience working in either a hospital, community or primary care pharmacy setting.
* Previous experience of managing/supervising staff
* Knowledge of the operation of pharmacy services
