Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control team. The successful candidate will oversee all credit control activities within the company and manage a small team of Credit Controllers.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team of credit controllers and oversee their portfolio of debtor accounts, ensuring compliance with company processes, credit and payment terms, and credit checks.
2. Produce and analyze debt reports, highlighting risks, variances, and action plans.
3. Forecast cash flow on a monthly basis.
4. Maintain reporting on credit applications, payments, bad debts, and provide relevant analyses.
5. Manage bad debt collections, including small claims, insurance, and correspondence.
6. Collaborate with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
7. Resolve billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies promptly.
8. Support daily credit control activities as needed.
9. Develop strategic partnerships within management to foster communication, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
10. Review and update the company's credit policy.
11. Liaise with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy adherence.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
* Strong knowledge of credit control functions within a business.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Additional Details:
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
