Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality domestic services, maintaining cleanliness and safety to ensure a positive experience for service users and reflect the organisation’s values.
Organisation Overview:
SSL partners with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust to provide facilities management, transport, and support services across over 50 sites in the West Midlands. Since 2012, we have expanded rapidly and are committed to supporting mental health and reducing stigma.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective cleaning and hygiene standards within your designated area.
2. Operate cleaning equipment safely following training.
3. Collect and dispose of waste responsibly.
4. Perform pantry and kitchen duties, including cleaning and washing up.
5. Carry out specialist cleaning as required.
6. Manage stock and supplies responsibly.
7. Follow infection control procedures and participate in relevant training.
Individual Responsibilities:
1. Engage in personal development and training through the appraisal process.
2. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
3. Conduct oneself professionally with colleagues and external agencies.
4. Assist with onboarding new staff under supervision.
5. Read and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
6. Contribute to organizational aims and objectives.
7. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned, such as changing curtains.
8. Follow safeguarding and infection control policies at all times.
9. Test staff alarm systems at the start of shifts to ensure proper functioning.
