Support the Spaces Supporting Student Success - Join us as Estates Assistant! We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious member to our team. The successful candidate will be able to work on your own or as part of a team, flexible in your approach to tasks and shift patterns and have effective organisation skills and ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out testing, monitoring and maintaining of Legionellosis records. You will also have experience and sound knowledge of emergency light testing and record keeping. If you have experience of working in this field along with a passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the future generation this position will be ideal for you. The successful candidate will need to live within 20 minutes of reaching the campus.
Responsibilities
As an Estates Assistant you will play an active key role in the Estates team, providing caretaking services across the college. The position covers a wide range of services normally associated with Estates functions. Specific duties include:
* Carry out unlock and lock duties of buildings and set intruder alarms before and after operational opening hours, including weekends;
* Be a responsible key holder and part of the on-call team;
* Support testing, monitoring and maintenance of Legionellosis records;
* Assist with emergency light testing and related record keeping;
* Work flexibly as part of a team or independently and manage tasks under pressure.

Salary: £23,468 per annum
Annual leave: 168 hours
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
* Experience in testing, monitoring and maintaining Legionellosis records;
* Experience and knowledge of emergency light testing and record keeping;
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to adapt to shift patterns;
* Effective organisation skills and ability to work under pressure;
* Willingness to relocate to within 20 minutes of the campus;
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults as applicable.
Desirable:
* Experience in a college or education sector environment;
* Enthusiasm and willingness to share knowledge and contribute to student development.
