Latin & Classics Teacher State Boys School - Westminster, London A prestigious all boys school located in Westminster is seeking a passionate and experienced Latin and Classics Teacher for paternity cover. This exciting opportunity is a full-time position, though part-time applicants will be considered. The role is set to begin as soon as possible and will last for two weeks minimum. Role Overview: As a Classics Teacher, you will inspire students in the study of classical languages and cultures, fostering a deep appreciation for ancient civilizations while encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and academic achievement. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, engaging students in both Latin and Ancient Greek, and guiding them through the fascinating world of Classical studies. Key Responsibilities: Teach Latin and/or Ancient Greek to students across different year groups. Develop and deliver engaging and academically challenging lessons that enhance students' understanding of the classical world. Foster a love of Classics by creating an inspiring and supportive classroom environment. Encourage critical thinking and analytical skills through the study of classical texts, history, and philosophy. Provide a nurturing environment where students can grow both academically and personally, ensuring each pupil reaches their full potential. Actively contribute to the school community, collaborating with other faculty members and participating in school activities.Qualifications and Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Classics or a related field. Proven experience teaching Classics at secondary school level.
