This is an opportunity for current students studying in Worcester Business School to support the learning and teaching within the school as technical demonstrators within the Computing labs. Student demonstrators provide technical demonstration during computing-based teaching sessions. This comprises of assisting students with the setup and use of Worcester Business School systems and software in order to more effectively achieve learning outcomes.
This might include supporting level 4 and 5 students with activities such as: Setting up and using software or services; Use of software to create, develop and test artefacts (such as software, web sites, databases); Use of software to undertake activities in order to achieve a specified outcome; Demonstrating appropriate application and concepts.
Student demonstrators may demonstrate on one or more of the following modules:

4. COMP1457 - Intro to Computer Security
5. COMP1482 - IT Systems Fundamentals

9. COMP2421 - Distributed Systems
10. COMP2431 - OO Design and Development
11. COMP2441 - Web Application Development
12. COMP2443 - Advanced Creative Computing
13. COMP2445 - Data Mining
14. COMP2451 - Games Design and Engineering
15. COMP2452 - Operating Systems
16. COMP2453 - Computer Forensics
17. COMP2461 - Mobile Application Development
18. COMP2462 - Interaction Design

The specific duties of the student demonstrator are specified in the job description and may vary depending upon the required role.
The rate of pay for this role will be £12.43 per hour plus £1.74 holiday pay.
