Act as the designated on-site contact, ensuring depot security and that all team members follow safe working practices. Support the Engineering Manager and complete tasks outlined in the Leader Standard Work documentation. Lead and supervise a team to ensure efficient, safe servicing, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and vehicle cleaning to specification. Plan, allocate, and balance workloads effectively, liaising with Chargehands to maintain on-road performance targets. Uphold and enforce compliance with all health & safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures. What We’re Looking For A strong engineering background with hands-on experience in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy vehicles, machinery, or equipment—ideally in the Bus or HGV industry A recognised apprenticeship or vocational qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent diploma/degree) Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards, ideally with IOSH certification, and a commitment to safe working environments Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams to achieve high standards and operational targets Join Arriva and be part of a team that keeps our communities moving.
