Are you a driven Democratic Services Lead looking to make a difference in the public sector? Or a Senior Democratic Services Officer looking for a step up? Venn Group is working with a brilliant local authority in Berkshire in their pursuit of a Head of Democratic Services on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month period.
Requirements:
1. Experience working as a democratic services lead or manager in a public sector organisation or local authority
2. Experience managing a large team
3. Experience with a council restructure would be advantageous
4. Experience with smaller sized councils would be advantageous
Duties/Responsibilities:
5. Managing a team of up to 15 professionals, at all levels
6. Help with the restructure of the council’s democratic services team
7. Attending and preparing for council meetings
8. Mentoring and training less experienced team members
