HR Manager - Manufacturing - Cookstown
Are you an HR Officer looking for the next step in your career? MCS Group is excited to be working with a growing manufacturing company, recruiting for an HR Manager to join their dynamic team.
Overview
As HR Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out all HR functions, in line with wider business goals and strategies. In this standalone role, you will have the opportunity to improve company performance and employee experience through HR processes.
The main responsibilities
1. Take ownership of core HR administration, including onboarding and exit procedures, document management, and upkeep of employee information on the HRIS. Respond promptly and professionally to related queries.
2. Drive end-to-end recruitment activity, from talent sourcing and candidate interviews to extending offers.
3. Manage graduate and apprenticeship schemes, working closely with academic institutions to attract emerging talent.
4. Partner with leadership on talent strategy, shaping performance review frameworks, feedback cycles, and initiatives to boost staff development and retention.
5. Manage Learning & Development programmes, planning and delivering training aligned with business goals.
6. Coordinate with in-house experts and external providers to support employee growth.
7. Support employee relations, including managing absence, resolving grievances, and advising teams on HR policies.
8. Support employee engagement and wellbeing, contributing to CSR efforts and initiatives that promote staff morale.
9. Collaborate with senior leaders on strategic HR initiatives, implementing projects that align HR practices with company objectives.
10. Identify skill gaps and workforce needs, recommending recruitment or internal development solutions for long-term capability planning.
The ideal candidate
* Proven experience in a similar role within a relevant industry
* CIPD certified or working towards accreditation
* Degree in HR Management or a related field (advantageous)
* Competent in using HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
