Main Responsibilities The Grant Operations Officer will provide a high level of service to all applicants and grantees who contact the charity by phone, email and post. You will give detailed advice to applicants and provide support throughout the application process, enabling the highest quality applications to reach the charity. You will process grant applications for the charity’s responsive programmes and will assist in the design and delivery of the new grant making processes. The Grant Operations Officer will support all aspects of the grant making functions and work as part of a team when required to support the charity’s Appeal Operations team. Are you the right candidate? The successful candidate must have experience of working in the charity, voluntary or public sector, preferably in a grant making environment. You will also have extensive experience of using databases regularly as well as working under pressure with high volumes of work and, importantly, experience of prioritising workloads effectively. You will be an advocate of great customer care with extensive experience of dealing regularly with the public. You will be computer literate with strong MS Office skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate data and also interpret both written and oral information. You will be able to produce written communications which are clear and well written and also be a great listener by drawing out information over the telephone. Experience of assessing grant applications against specific policies. Specific knowledge of children and young people’s services would be an advantage.
