Job Summary
Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated HCPC registered podiatrist to join the dynamic and supportive podiatry team at Your Healthcare CIC. This band 5 post is ideal for a podiatrist looking to develop assessment and treatment skills across podiatry specialisms. Full mentorship and a protected CPD budget are available.
Main Duties of the role
* Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based podiatric care to patients with a variety of foot health needs.
* Manage a complex caseload independently, including high‑risk foot care, wound management, biomechanical assessments and nail surgery.
* Work collaboratively within the team and with other healthcare professionals.
* Support service development and clinical audit.
* Participate in supervision, training, quarterly one‑to‑one meetings and annual appraisal.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver treatment and management to patients with complex medical and/or foot health needs across biomechanics, orthotic prescription, nail surgery under local anaesthesia, diabetic wound care assessment and treatment, and high‑risk foot care.
* Opportunity to work in the organisation’s private practice, employing new treatment technologies such as Lunula Laser Therapy and Swift Microwave Therapy.
* Support high‑risk patients, including those with diabetes.
Requirements
* BCS (Hons) in Podiatry or equivalent.
* Local Anaesthesia certificate.
* Current HCPC registration.
* Interest in working with high‑risk patients, including those with diabetes.
* Willingness to develop experience and skills across podiatry specialisms.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience
* Domiciliary care provision.
* Diabetic patient assessment.
* Core podiatry assessment and treatment.
* Nail surgery.
* Provision of high‑risk/ulcer treatments.
* Biomechanics and orthotic prescription.
Skills and Abilities
* Highly developed physical skills, precision hand‑eye coordination for prolonged periods.
* Effective communication.
* Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
