About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented Part-Time Music Teacher (2 days per week) to join our thriving Music Department from January 2026. The successful candidate will inspire pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 (particularly Years 5 and 6), with a possibility of some teaching in other year groups/Key Stages, through engaging and creative classroom teaching.
You will work closely with the Head of Music to nurture pupils’ musical development both in the classroom and beyond, contributing to choirs, ensembles and school performances. The ability to play the piano or another instrument would be highly desirable. Our department is based in a well-equipped Music House and enjoys a strong reputation for excellence, with pupils regularly performing in concerts, competitions and productions.

Who We’re Looking For
* Holds a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Music or a related subject.
* Demonstrates creative and engaging teaching skills, with experience delivering classroom Music.
* Is a confident and capable musician, ideally with piano and/or instrumental proficiency.
* Has excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
* Understands current curriculum and assessment frameworks and uses assessment effectively to support pupil progress.
* Shows enthusiasm for extra-curricular music and enjoys leading or supporting choirs, ensembles, and performances.
* Upholds high professional standards, fosters a love of learning, and contributes positively to the wider life of the school.
