Residence Inn by Marriott, located within the vibrant Marischal Square district in Aberdeen's city centre, is recruiting a full-time Front of House Manager to oversee front office duties and food and beverage services. Role Overview:
The Front of House Manager is responsible for the rooms division, including a Food and Beverage outlet serving breakfast and drinks. This role is the sole full-time operational head of department, overseeing front office functions and supervising staff daily. Areas include Guest Services/Front Desk, Breakfast and Kitchen teams, and liaising with Engineering on guest room issues. The manager directs and collaborates with managers and staff to ensure efficient hotel operations, guest and employee satisfaction, and maximized departmental financial performance.
Core Activities:
1. Manage daily operations, ensuring quality, standards, and customer expectations are met.
2. Develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks.
3. Handle complaints, disputes, grievances, and negotiate resolutions.
4. Understand the financial impact of department operations and work to achieve or exceed financial goals.
5. Encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
6. Model appropriate behaviors as a role model.
7. Supervise and manage employees, understanding their roles to perform duties in their absence.
8. Support the development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and training.
9. Solicit employee feedback, maintain an open-door policy, and review satisfaction results to address issues.
