The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join Causeway’s IT team. You will be part of the IT Team, responsible for delivering IT solutions within Causeway to meet current and future organisational needs. You will design, develop and implement cloud and infrastructure solutions and services to improve Causeway’s operational capabilities. The role involves both ongoing support (escalation of tickets/cases) and projects. The role reports to the Head of IT.


Responsibilities

* Design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support product and engineering delivery teams.
* Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to streamline provisioning and management of cloud resources.
* Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, security, and costs using monitoring tools and logging frameworks (e.g., DataDog, Azure Monitor).
* Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM, data encryption, network security, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CSA).
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
* Review existing systems and processes and recommend improvements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document technical architectures, standards, and best practices for cloud computing, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategies.
* Communicate with stakeholders, including IT management and Engineering teams, providing updates on performance and upcoming changes.
* Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Server, Endpoint Manager and Policies (Intune).
* Experience with Firewalls and TCP/IP Networking.
* Use of common backup and disaster recovery software.
* Be flexible, eager to learn new skills, and capable of sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with at least one of AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware.
* Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
* Demonstrable experience with Linux technologies.
* SonicWall network infrastructure, ideally SD-WAN.
* Endpoint Security including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
* AWS/Azure/GCP/VMware qualifications relevant to the role.


Essential Experience

* Proven experience with Microsoft Server.
* Experience with Firewalls and TCP/IP Networking.
* Use of common backup and disaster recovery software.
* Flexible and willing to learn new skills and mentor others.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware.


Desirable

* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
* Demonstrable experience with Linux technologies.
* SonicWall network infrastructure, ideally SD-WAN.
* AWS/Azure/GCP/VMware qualifications relevant to the role.
