Reference: 2b985b3b Support Worker Wanted – Make a Real Difference Support a Bright & Joyful 10-Year-Old Girl with Additional Needs We are looking for a kind, reliable, and patient Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a lovely 10-year-old girl with a SETD1B gene diagnosis (a rare neurodevelopmental condition). This is a truly rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful relationship and make a genuine difference in a child’s life. About Her She is a cheerful, friendly child with a wonderful personality and a love for fun and exploration. She enjoys: ♀️ Swimming Trips to the park Soft play Jigsaws Visiting the library She has a moderate learning disability, well-managed epilepsy, and some mobility challenges. She can be a little unsteady on her feet due to balance difficulties and may occasionally use a buggy for longer outings. Full training, guidance, and ongoing support will be provided to help you feel confident in the role. The Role You will provide both practical and emotional support, helping her enjoy everyday activities safely while building confidence and independence. Responsibilities include: Supporting her to access social and leisure activities Providing reassurance and supervision due to balance and mobility needs Encouraging play, learning, and engagement Assisting with personal care in a dignified and respectful manner Ensuring her safety at all times Hours Available Term Time: 3 hours per week School Holidays: 6 hours per week Flexible working options: Term-time: Weekdays after school or Saturday or Sunday mornings School holidays: Weekday mornings (Monday–Friday) ️ Hours can be discussed to suit the right candidate. Pay £14.67 per hour About You We are looking for someone who is: Patient, caring, and dependable Confident (or willing to learn) supporting a child with additional needs Comfortable assisting with personal care Able to follow care plans and guidance A good communicator with a positive attitude ✨ Experience with children or additional needs is helpful but not essential—your attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
