Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest healthcare charity. This role is a bank contract, working on an ad‑hoc basis, including evenings and weekends, at an hourly rate of £12.33 per hour. You will be based in the Outpatients & Pre‑ops area of the hospital, supporting a wide range of clinical teams such as orthopaedics, gynaecology, neurosurgery, plastics, ENT, cardiology, GP services, psychiatry and physiotherapy.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will:
* Assist colleagues in the various outpatient and pre‑operative clinics.
* Provide individualized care to patients.
* Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities.
* Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations of the clinics.
* Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care.
Requirements
You will have an NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care, and relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting. The role requires flexibility in duties and working hours and a positive, team‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
