Band 6 Diagnostic CT Radiographer working in Radiotherapy
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 diagnostic radiographer to join our small therapeutic radiographer CT team! Working in the oncology setting, this post will involve working as part of the radiotherapy simulation team, scanning patients for the purpose of planning radiotherapy treatments.
This position is ideal for an HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer who has NHS experience, is clinically skilled in CT scanning and cannulation, and is adaptable to a different working environment. Innovation and confidence in your skills are essential.
In radiotherapy, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including therapeutic radiographers, clinical oncologists, trainees, and physicists.
The role involves training in radiotherapy-specific skills, but applicants must already be competent and confident in CT scanning. A basic understanding of how radiotherapy differs from diagnostic CT is beneficial; informal enquiries are encouraged.
The CT working hours are 8:45 am to 5 pm, with participation in the weekend on-call rota for emergencies (9 am to 5 pm).
This opportunity can be offered as a fixed-term or secondment position.
