Hours: 35 hours per week | Monday - Friday
Hybrid Working: 3 days office-based, 2 days working from home

The Opportunity
My client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Engagement Assistant to join their established firm. This is a varied and fast-paced role that plays a key part in delivering first-class administrative and payroll support across the firm.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and prior experience in payroll administration or a similar HR support role within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide accurate and timely payroll administration support.
* Manage monthly payroll processes, including new joiner setup, benefits changes, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Respond to payroll and benefits queries promptly and professionally.
* Support annual reward cycles including salary reviews, benefits administration, and the preparation of letters and reports.
* Produce and maintain accurate management information reports and headcount data for Finance and HR.
* Process invoices, monitor budgets, and ensure accurate documentation and coding.
* Maintain document management systems, ensuring sensitive information is handled securely and confidentially.
* Provide general administrative and operational support to the wider People Engagement team as required.

About You
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within payroll or HR operations.
* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
* Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Integrity and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
* Collaborative and professional team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Eager to identify and implement process improvements.
