Post Doctoral Research Assistant

Salary: £32,080 to £37,694 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term - 2 months

Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day running of the project, including maintenance of several cell lines.
* Batch‑wise expression of a variety of well‑characterised recombinant proteins using an E.coli expression system.
* Purification of these proteins using IMAC.
* Characterisation of these proteins (Western blotting, SDS PAGE, Coomassie staining, MS, etc.).
* Evaluation of the success of the delivery system using qRT-PCR, western blotting and immunodetection.
* Supervision of MSc and BSc students.
Qualifications
* Experience safely handling 32P and labelling siRNA.
