The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2) As an SEN Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS2 pupils with SEN. Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual pupil needs. Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction. Support the class teacher in maintaining an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Help manage behaviour using supportive and consistent strategies. Assist with personal care and wellbeing support where required. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. About You To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you should have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential), ideally including experience with any of the following areas: SPLD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, SLCN, HI, VI, MSI, PD, ASD A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
