Job Description
3. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
4. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling and analysing financial data.
5. Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
7. Provide variance analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
8. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
10. Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
11. A background in accounting or finance, with relevant qualifications or certifications.
12. Experience in assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
13. AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA is a bonus.
14. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
15. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
16. The ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
17. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the business services industry.
