Hays Education are supporting a local school in recruiting a dedicated SEN Science Teacher to work with them in the spring term. The role is to start as soon as possible and will run till Easter in the first instance.
The details are as follows:
1. The school is located in north Birmingham, about a 15-minute drive from the city centre and describes themselves as a focussed and dedicated school who have young people at the centre of their ethos
2. The school caters for children at KS4 level with social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH)
3. The role entails teaching children in class who have SEMH and some other additional SEN
4. The role is Monday to Friday, am – pm and is on a term-time only time sheet basis
5. You will be responsible for delivering the Science curriculum at GCSE level and be responsible for all planning, teaching and assessment
6. You will hold QTS or have extensive experience teaching Science at the unqualified level
7. The school will support training for candidates who may not have experience of working in these kinds of settings
8. Hays Education will be able to obtain recent satisfactory references that reflect this experience
