We're recruiting Casual Care Workers for our homes in Carlisle and Headsnook -warm, compassionate individuals who want to help young people recover from early life experiences and thrive.
Main Duties
Support daily routines: morning/evening tasks, personal hygiene, meals, school runs, activities, and bedtime
Promote independence, life skills, socialisation, and room cleanliness
Attend appointments and support activity plans and daily targets
Complete paperwork: day sheets, handovers, budgeting, checks, and daily records
Carry out household tasks: cleaning, laundry, shopping, meal prep, and kitchen hygiene
Complete safety checks (COSHH, fire, vehicle)
Build positive relationships with families and help organise family time
About You:
Flexibility to work up to 14-hour shifts with varied start times (08:00, 12:00, 14:00), including potential sleep-ins
Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care
Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or willingness to work toward it)
Excellent communication, listening, and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and complete an enhanced DBS (paid for by us)
Experience in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work (advantageous)
