Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit excellent Food Technician interested in securing a role. Please see below for further details:
Food Technician
1. Location – Southport, PR8
2. Type of work – Part Time (3-4 days per week)
3. Start date – April 2026
4. Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities:
5. Assisting with lessons: Helping sort materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during lessons.
6. Behaviour management: Foster a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
7. Practical work: would involve assisting the food technology teacher with cleaning/preparing for the lesson, including assisting during practical’s.
8. Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
9. Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required
Requirements:
10. Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
11. Previous experience working with young people.
To be eligible:
12. Hold Right to Work in the UK
13. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
14. Provide two professional references/cover 24 months work with references
