Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, full lifecycle Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst for an NHS Trust. The ideal candidate blends expert technical knowledge with a strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare standards, and data governance. NHS experience is an absolute requirement.
Duties include:
* Develop and maintain reporting systems using SQL, Tableau, and NHS datasets
* Produce statutory and operational reports (e.g. SitReps, RTT, CSDS) to national deadlines
* Support performance monitoring and service improvement through data insight
* Collaborate with clinical and managerial staff across NHS organisations
* Identify and resolve data quality issues across complex datasets
* Provide advice and training on data use, reporting tools, and statistical interpretation
* Maintain documentation and user guides to support reporting processes
* Understand NHS structure, data flows, and pseudonymisation requirements
* Work with data quality, systems development, and information services
* Ensure compliance with NHS data standards, IG policies, and the Data Protection Act
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for BI and reporting
* Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in NHS
* Knowledge of clinical applications and EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Nervecentre, Cerner, etc.).
* Ability to communicate complex concepts to clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
