Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Crop Scout to join our team in Norwich. In this role, you will play a vital part in maximizing crop yields and ensuring the health of our agricultural products. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of providing innovative solutions and building strong partnerships.
* Conduct regular field inspections to assess crop health and identify potential issues.
* Monitor irrigation systems and recommend adjustments as needed.
* Collaborate with farmers to implement best practices for crop management.
* Collect data on pest populations and recommend control measures.
* Maintain accurate records of scouting activities and findings.
* Assist in the operation of farm machinery as required.
* Provide recommendations for improving crop yield based on observations.
* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to agricultural equipment.
* Experience with irrigation systems and horticulture practices.
* Familiarity with farm machinery operations.
* Basic math skills for data analysis and reporting.
* Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of fieldwork.
* Experience with maintenance of agricultural tools is a plus.
