Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What you’ll do:
* Provide specialist guidance and advice to EHS teams and Project leads on environment and sustainability to meet requirements
* Support risk management through environmental assurance regimes, including audits
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids
* Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports for clients and contracts
* Review environmental aspects and impacts regularly, including climate change risks
* Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycle
Who you are:
Experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification - PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
* Proven record of reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure
* Experience managing complex technical projects and change initiatives
* Full driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide
