The job itself
A young lady in her late 30s is looking to employ a responsible Personal Assistant to support her with 24hr care in her own home in Bridlington. The young lady suffers from Epilepsy and has a mild learning disability.
The individual will join a small team to assist the young lady to live independently and to help build and maintain household routines, assist with medication, cooking, cleaning and generally help broaden her social horizons.
The successful applicant will require an understanding nature and be supportive and patient with the ability
To manage situations and vulnerabilities.
Hours - 2 x 24 hour shifts per week
Including sleeping nights.
Plus holiday cover when needed.
The ideal candidate will ideally be experienced in the health profession or has undertaken health and social awareness courses. Epilepsy training will be provided.
You will also need to be experienced, motivated and reliable and a young outgoing personality to enable you to relate to the client.
A car owner would be an advantage.
Various hours of work are available to fit in with our existing carers including sleeping nights.
This is a permanent and rewarding position in a friendly environment for the right candidate.
DBS/Reference checks will be required - cost to be met by the local authority.
