Treasury Management Officer
Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the Council’s Treasury function including cash management, liquidity forecasting, strategic borrowing and investment decisions, and risk assessment. Acting as the Council’s primary treasury contact and managing the relevant system, you will lead strategic initiatives to optimise our financial resources while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Roles that require PVG Membership
Effective from 1 April 2023, PVG membership is required for roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. The Council will cover the initial PVG membership cost (£18 for existing members or £59 for non-members) which is deducted from the first month’s salary.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
* Substantial experience in a treasury, finance or accounting role
Desired Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in managing cash flows, borrowings and investments
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and analysis
* Working knowledge of banking operations and cash management practices
* Deep understanding of cash management, liquidity strategies and financial instruments
