Job Description:
The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides best-in-class digital products, services, and skills to enable future-focused auditors. Our goal is to set industry benchmarks for professional services firms by leveraging digital, data, and technology to excel in audit quality, client service, and operational excellence.
The Test Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating testing activities within the organization. This role involves defining testing strategies, creating test plans, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring testing progress. The Test Manager will work closely with Development Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
A look into the role
As a Test Manager, you will:
* Develop and implement test strategies, governance, plans, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery.
* Coordinate and manage all testing activities, including functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
* Lead a team of Test Analysts and Manual Testers, providing guidance and support.
* Collaborate with Development Teams and Product Owners to coordinate product delivery.
* Work with Technical Support Managers to ensure proper delivery of test results and analyze production failures for process improvements.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation related to testing activities.
* Ensure testing activities align with other lifecycle activities, such as requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
* Participate in daily progress meetings, presenting test improvements and developments.
* Manage test tools development and configuration management activities.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Test Manager requires experience in testing, either as an individual contributor ready to support teams or with leadership experience overseeing testing teams to ensure quality throughout the development or product lifecycle. Skills that are desirable include:
* Knowledge of Azure DevOps (or similar tools) and quality assurance methodologies.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* ISTQB certification (a plus).
* Strong understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practices.
* Experience in test planning, analysis, design, and implementation.
* Familiarity with test automation tools and methodologies.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
