A lively and progressive secondary school in Weymouth, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their dedicated PE department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an energetic ECT eager to build their career in a supportive, student‑focused environment.
The Role
As a PE Teacher, you will:
Teach engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Promote physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and a positive sporting mindset
Deliver a broad, inclusive curriculum that encourages participation from all students
Track progress effectively and support pupils in developing key skills
Contribute to the planning, development and delivery of the PE curriculum
Lead or support extra‑curricular sports clubs, fixtures and enrichment activities

Ideal Candidate Profile
You will be:
A qualified PE Teacher with QTS (or an ECT nearing completion)
Confident delivering PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Someone with excellent communication skills and strong subject knowledge
A positive role model who inspires students to achieve their personal best
A team player who values collaboration and high expectations
Able to build strong relationships and motivate pupils of all abilities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge within Physical Education
Ability to teach PE confidently at KS3 & KS4
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
