1. Main Functions:
1. Circulate draft terms of reference to key partner agencies for comment by end September 2022
2. Individually invite key partners to the first CDP meeting
3. Oversee development of the agenda for the CDP meeting
4. Ensure all papers are send in a timely manner
5. Check the quality of all presentations
6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on promotion of National Drug Strategy (2022)
Coordinate the work of public health seniors to develop a local joint strategic needs assessment to understand the scale of local drug problems – by end November 2022
The Combating Drug Partnership is a new local partnership being set up with the responsibility for delivering the National Drug Strategy (2022) at a local level.
The aim of the CDP is to reduce the harm caused by drugs in Haringey by creating a joint strategic approach to making decisions on delivery to ensure that the ambitions of the National Combating Drugs Outcome Framework are met. The partnership will be made up of senior’s from across police, probation, housing, treatment, those with lived experience and the NHS. This reflects the need to tackle drugs at three levels, supply, treatment, and reduction of demand.
Haringey Director of Public Health is responsible for setting up and overseeing the work of the new CDP. This post will work with the senior members of the public health team to establish the new CDP and help it meet the three requirements by December 2022 of agreeing terms of reference, completing a needs assessment, and developing a strategy
