Job Description
We are looking for an experienced commercial plumber with a background in reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within building services or facilities management environments.
The successful candidate will work across multiple sites, delivering a high standard of service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, testing and fault finding on plumbing systems and equipment.
2. Diagnose faults by observing plumbing systems and fixtures in operation, dismantling components and replacing defective parts.
3. Repair cracked pipes, unblock drainage systems and carry out associated remedial works.
4. Maintain complex plumbing systems including water and drainage systems, sprinkler systems, air compressors, hydraulic lifts, equipment washers and steam cleaning devices.
5. Conduct leak detection tests and scheduled maintenance inspections in line with maintenance plans.
6. Install, repair and replace components in water heaters, tanks, sinks, showers, and fuel and oil storage facilities in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
7. Carry out soldering and brazing of tubing and piping, pour lead joints and install complex combinations of couplings, unions and joints.
8. Install, modify and repair plumbing systems by locating and tapping main lines, setting system routes, cutting openings and installing hangers, ensuring correct levelling and pipe gradients.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
9. Proven commercial plumbing maintenance experience.
10. Plumbing qualification at Level 2 or above.
11. Previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
12. Experience working within facilities management or building services in commercial properties.
13. Knowledge of backflow prevention devices and local jurisdictional codes.
14. Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regionally around Lincolnshire.
