Configuration Control Construction Workpack Engineer on the Hinkley Point Project. Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team and be part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years. This role will help develop and deliver the amazing project.
About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UK’s move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
What you'll be doing
* Ensure the configuration of the workpack is well documented, controlled, up to date with the Client’s instruction and compliant with quality standards.
* Create, manage, revise and issue construction work packs (CWP) as required and managed inline with construction requirements.
* Record the impacted CWPs to be revised in the CWP tracker.
* Update Construction Workpacks and issue them to the construction team.
* Develop documents to support the delivery of the Construction Workpacks.
* Raise pending Workpack documents with the relevant teams to ensure they are created and available.
* Work with other departments and key stakeholders to keep CWPs up to date to align with the construction programme.
* Follow the Workpack process and report issues or concerns with upcoming tasks to the Workpack lead.
* Work with CWP creation and updates to ensure a Right first time.
Who we're looking for
* HNC or relevant experience.
* Experience in creation and management of work packs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
* Extensive experience using Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
* Able to obtain a BPSS security clearance.
