You are a car driver who can commit to 3 days per week in the office without the need for condensed working patterns. Residing more than 50 miles from Swindon, you demonstrate strong safeguarding practice, legal knowledge, and professional curiosity. You are reliable, accountable, and possess strong levels of emotional resilience. Your commitment to values, diversity, and ethical practice is high. What the job involves You will work within the Family Safeguarding Service at Swindon Borough Council. Operating within a POD system of 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager, you will undertake comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments to inform care plans. You are expected to handle both private and public care proceedings and achieve permanency plans for children, including adoption. You will be required to understand and respond to complex risks and maintain excellent case records.
